Eligibility: Master’s in Social Work

The M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work is a professional course. After completing this training, Psychiatric Social Workers have extensive opportunities for employment in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching institutions in Social Work, particularly in medical & psychiatry settings. They can also work in counselling, mental health, disability services, child guidance, clinical specialities, and applied sociology. Additionally, there is the advantage of gaining experience in dealing with individuals with various medical or health conditions while working in the Department of Psychiatry in a medical college setting. The employment prospects for Professional Psychiatric Social Workers are expanding rapidly, both in India and abroad. Opportunities are available in various settings across both government and NGO (international and national) sectors.
