Eligibility: Master in Social Work

M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work is a professional course, after getting trained Psychiatric Social Workers have a wide scope to get employed in Post Graduate and undergraduate teaching and training institutions of Social Work with medical & psychiatry, counselling, mental health, disability, child guidance, clinical etc. specialities and clinical or applied Sociology. There is an added advantage of getting exposure to deal with persons with various medical or health conditions while working in the Department of Psychiatry in medical college settings. The employment scope for Professional Psychiatric Social Workers is expanding rapidly both in India and abroad. They can get employed in various settings both in Government and NGOs (international and national) sectors too.
