Dear friends
As you are aware, Police atrocity on civilians is rising day by day in our state. In the name of maintaining law and order, the police is adopting coercive method to harass the citizens and carrying out unlawful activities in the state. The State administration and the Police are used to work for the interest of the corporate house, mining barons at the cost of the interest of the people of the state. The people who are fighting against unjust and illegal activities of the state and carrying out mass movement for protection of land, water and natural resources are being harassed and unlawfully detained and put behind the bar by the police. . Crime branch and vigilance is used to protect the ruling class and harass the leader of opposition parties. Similarly, in the name of checking maoist menace , the police has unleashed reign of terror in tribal region like Narayanpatna. Since last few years, in many places in the state where the students, teachers, Govt. employees are fighting for their rights or protesting democratically against the Govt. are seen attacked, beaten up, lathicharged by the police. As a result the right of the people are being curtailed. Their fundamental right is also at stake.
Keeping it in view, a State Convention is being organized involving all section of the people to discuss and debate on the abovementioned issues and to develop strategy for protection of democratic right of the citizens. We invite you to participate in this convention.
