Stuck adding a Friend

Hi,

I using social stream located here: https://github.com/ging/social_stream-started but when I try to add a friend it is stuck saving. Also the search function is not working. When I try searching, I get the following error: Connection to 127.0.0.1 on 9312 failed. Connection refused - connect(2) for "127.0.0.1" port 9312

I tried a different environment and adding a friend seems to be working. However the searching portion is not.
