Tempted to suggest that anyone wanting a sandwich meet up on Lamb's
Conduit Street before today's delayed session, but its probably a bit
late. If you are on line and want to do this mail me please.
I think that this workshop is going well, at least from a personal point
of view: I'm using it as a focus to learn new things, and the general
spread of knowledge is a fine thing. But I don't think that we have as
yet come anywhere near obtaining as much benefit from it as we all can.
So I'm going to propose that we extend it in some way and see what (if
anything) surfaces from the group.
And, wacky minority interest, I found out about a London group called
dorkbot from the LKL info list. Dorkbot is organising a camping trip;
read about it in this wiki:
http://burningdork.slab.org/index.php/Main_Page
Interesting stuff: Make self sufficient electric animals, swimming,
climbing trees, headphone music performances,
art-meets-electronics-stuff, general hanging around and interacting with
interesting people, blah-de-blah
And yes anyone can go (1-4 Sept).

I can recommend the dorkbotters - I've been at the Dorkfest and one of
the dorkbots. These events are very inspiring, also in terms of
knowledge representation and information perception. I heard plants
making music in March (I think it was a gum tree).
Pity that I can't in September.
Best,
Tim
