Hello Everyone! Hope you had wonderful Christmas and New Years celebrations:)

I wanted to extend the below invite for an affordable housing workshop being held at the Midtown Pregnancy Support Center (a great organization where I volunteer).

I will attend and am really excited to hear from a housing expert-- anyone who has tried to find affordable or low income housing for someone (or even oneself!) in NYC knows how challenging it can be! Of course, some of the talk will be geared toward options for pregnant women but it will be a great overview of housing options and there will be opportunity to ask questions.

They need at least 12 attendees to hold the event so the more the merrier!!

You are all invited to our next monthly meeting on Jan 11th from 5:45-7:15pm.

 

Destiny Housing will be helping us to understanding housing options in NYC.   For those of you that have worked on our referral book or have seen clients, you are very aware of how much the issue of 'affordable housing' comes up with clients and how it is coorelated to clients feeling equipped to carry to term.

 

So, we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn about housing so that we can help clients understand their options and navigate the system.

 

We need at least 12 volunteers to attend in order for Destiny Housing to provide the training, so please RSVP ASAP.

 

Dinner provided!  Hope to see you there, as it's a great way to start off the New Year ;)
