I am a social graph newbie and I am interested in understand its
potential for delivering messages to a given user's nodes on a
network. What does an end user have to provide, e.g. (username,
password, social network id)? And if a user provides this, am I able
to send messages to the nodes on his network, e.g. the users he is
"connected to"? And if I can identify those users, can I send them a
message, e.g. IM, email, or a message delivered via one of the social
networks that they belong to?

I've started reviewing the information on this forum, as well as the
API, and I saw that only IM addresses are provided, if available. I
did not see any reference to the social networks the user belongs to
nor any other way to deliver messages, e.g. via the network or email.
