Hello Everyone,

Happy 2022!  I'm supporting KLB Consulting in finding the first Abundance Director (remote). This person will help build a movement, Abundance, which is a call to action for philanthropy to make tangible, long term investments in Black-led efforts.

This movement is a partnership of Chicago Beyond, the Grand Victoria Foundation & the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

Highlights
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
Location: Remote (Chicago, preferably)
Start Date: Spring 2022

Know someone who would be great for this position?

Learn more: At its core, the Abundance movement is about action. Specifically, a call to action for philanthropy to move beyond platitudes to making tangible, long-term investments in Black-led efforts. The Abundance movement is a call to celebrate the joy, and power of Black-led and Black-centered efforts to achieve social and racial justice through financial support.  The Abundance Movement is about the acknowledgment of conscious and subconscious narratives in philanthropy that say Black-led efforts are not worth the investment.

The strongest candidates will have a demonstrated history of a deep commitment to racial equity and justice, a passion to address anti-Black racism and White supremacy in philanthropy, and an eagerness and ability to coach and develop others in this work; as well as demonstrated experience and success in helping lead groups or organizations through change, including changes that disrupt the status quo.

I look forward to connecting with ya'll about these (and several other searches I'm supporting).

Much gratitude!
