Introduction

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was set up as part of the governments’ co-ordinated action in the skills space with the specific target of skilling / up skilling 150 million people in India by 2022, mainly by fostering private sector initiatives in this area.

As part of it’s overall mandate NSDC has been asked to manage a special project for Jammu and Kashmir called Udaan. Udaan is targeted at helping the ambitious and progressive youth of Jammu and Kashmir who are seeking global and local opportunities that the state may not be in a position to offer. Udaan aims to provide skills and consequently employment to 40,000 youth from J&K per annum over a 5 year period in key high growth sectors. The programme is targeted at providing well-paying jobs  to the trained manpower. The details about the program are available on the NSDC Udaan website www.nsdcudaan.com

So far 42 corporates have been approved to participate under Udaan. These corporates are expected to make employable about 50,000 youth over the next 5 years.

Scope of work

In the context of the above, NSDC is looking to hire a Analyst to ensure successful implementation of the program. The job role is broadly to ensure that the corporates have a successful selection process in Jammu and Kashmir

 The scope of work includes the following:

• Project Management for Udaan implementation
  
• Ensure all participating corporates have a very good experience of their experience in Jammu and Kashmir under Udaan. This will include working with the corporates, universities, colleges, employment exchanges and the state government officials involved in Udaan
  
• Ensure student mobilisation as per the needs of the corporates
  
• Managing the MIS  and reporting for Udaan
  
• Managing the Udaan website quality and ensuring that it is updated
  

 Requirements

·        Master's degree from a reputed institution with 1-5 years of experience

·        Strong project management skills

·        Ability to deal with and communicate effectively with different stakeholders

·        Strong analytical ability, the ability to manage large volumes of data and take out insight from numbers
