SHARING STRATEGIES NETWORK

We face an unprecedented series of concurrent crises - of covid, conflicts, climate and inequalities. To crack these crises, we must break out of old ways of working, escape siloed thinking and structures and partner strategically to avert climate catastrophe, tackle transnational threats and achieve our shared Sustainable Development Goals. As a trusted, neutral platform, Sharing Strategies is a network of leading change-makers from advocates, think tanks, local leaders, global civil society groups, international organisations, the private sector and philanthropic foundations working to drive coordination, foster innovation, and present solutions for potential funders.

ROLE 1: Senior Consultant & Advocacy Lead – [Job description linked here]

• What you’ll do: Work closely with Sharing Strategies’ founder (Jamie Drummond) and Program Manager to help shape, plan, and support selected strategic campaigns, initiatives, and projects that are arising from the Sharing Strategies network. Support proposals to build advocacy capacity in the Global South and between climate and development sector partners.
• About you: A mid-level role with 4–5+ years as a project manager or advisor in a consulting firm, nonprofit, or company, delivering high-quality advisory support and/or program management for external clients, partners and/or on internal teams; Experience in advocacy and campaigning for social and/or environmental impact.
• Role basis: 100% FTE contract position; Start immediately through Oct ‘23, with the possibility of extension subject to funding. Fully remote (work from home) with a preference for candidates that can work CET hours. Preference for Sub-Saharan Africa-based candidates.

ROLE 2: Senior Executive Assistant– [Job description linked here]

• What you’ll do: Closely support the founder of Sharing Strategies in the administration and logistics of his day-to-day leadership of Sharing Strategies and interactions with senior-most leaders across multiple sectors working to achieve global climate goals and UN SDGs. This is an exciting opportunity for a social impact-driven professional to work alongside a global leader in advocacy and communications to help address the world’s most pressing challenges.
• About you: 6+ years of experience in supporting a senior leader (e.g., MDs/VPs/CEOs); Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking; exceptional written and oral communication (English).
• Role basis: 100% FTE contract position; Start immediately through Oct ‘23, with the possibility of extension subject to funding. Fully remote (work from home); strong preference for UK-based candidates.
