India Innovation Growth Programme 2.0 (IIGP 2.0)
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
One of India’s longest standing public-private partnerships, the India Innovation Growth Programme (IIGP) heads into the next decade as IIGP 2.0, remaining committed to nurture the Indian innovation ecosystem. Tata Trusts joins the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and Lockheed Martin to form a unique tripartite partnership with a focus on both; innovations with strong societal impact and cutting edge industrial innovations.
IIGP 2.0 is being implemented in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Indo - US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A), Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay (IIT-B) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Initiative (MITei).
Incubation support will be provided through the Foundation for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (FISE), Centerfor Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIM-A, Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at IIT-B and IC2 Institute at the University of Texas, Austin (through XLr8 Andhra Pradesh & Nexus at The American Center).
IIGP 2.0 calls for applications to two annual parallel challenges to identify and support both industrial and social innovations through the stages of Ideation, Innovation and Acceleration.
1. University Challenge will cater to ideation and incubation of concepts sourced from universities across India
2. Open Innovation Challenge will cater to innovation and acceleration of concepts sourced from the technology community at large and not specifically from the academic arena
The programme shall provide funding, mentoring, incubation and acceleration support services to Indian innovators.For further details on programme benefits and challenge topics, please refer to the attached flyers on both UC and OIC.
