Title: Interim Director (Rapid Execution & Finance) – Emergency Student Support

Location: United Kingdom (remote/UK-based applicants only)

Duration: Immediate, 2–3 week emergency assignment (potential for longer-term governance role)

Deadline for Applications: Rolling – positions filled as suitable candidates are identified

About the Role

Educating Beyond Borders is seeking 1–2 Interim Directors to join a high-speed crisis response delivering emergency winter support to students during campus closures. This role is comparable to governance roles in humanitarian response and disaster logistics, where speed, precision, and focus are critical.

We have acquired a unique vessel in the UK that must reach London by 29 December to provide urgent student support and mitigate risk of student suicides.

This is not an advisory role – it is a rapid execution role requiring immediate action on banking, loan paperwork, and board-level approvals.Responsibilities

  • Serve as a director listed at Companies House.

  • Support or initiate a business bank account and urgent loan applications.

  • Sign time-sensitive resolutions and finance documents.

  • Operate with precision under high-pressure, high-stakes conditions.

  • Work collaboratively with other directors to ensure the vessel is deployed on schedule.

Who This Role Is For

You may be a fit if you:

  • Have experience with company finance, banking, or loans.

  • Can act decisively under extreme time pressure.

  • Understand that high-speed execution requires full focus and zero margin for delay.

  • Are available immediately through early January.

Who This Role Is Not For

  • Advisory-only candidates.

  • Individuals unable to prioritize urgent execution.

  • Candidates expecting a long onboarding or slow-paced process.

Why This Role Matters

Your participation will directly impact student welfare during campus closures. Every decision, signature, and action taken will help deliver vital resources to students at risk. This is crisis governance in action – your contribution matters.
