Grassroots AI Advocacy Org (Ops, Digital, Organizing)

Hi everybody, 

I’m working with a really special group of people to build a grassroots movement to ensure AI benefits us all… and we’re hiring!

The goal is federal policy that makes the AI economy work for everyone, defends basic freedoms, and prevents the development of AI systems that could cause existential risk to people and planet. The team so far comes out of the climate movement, national unions, civil rights organizations, and progressive campaigns and we’re looking to grow! 

We’re looking to hire for these open roles in NYC / SF (remote possible): 

• Organizing Director ($150-175k): build the organizing model, leadership ladder, and distributed structure from scratch

• Operations Director/Manager ($130-170k): build our operational, financial, and legal, and people backbone

• Senior Digital Manager ($120-145k): build our email, SMS, and social programs

• Distributed Organizer (6-8 week contract) to recruit and coach the students leading a national day of protest this October.
