Title: Managing Director, Operations and Organizational Effectiveness
Reports To: Ahmed Saeed, Chief Executive Officer
Location: New York City
This role is central to ACP’s next phase of growth and touches nearly all aspects of ACP, ensuring the whole organization continues to deliver at pace and runs smoothly. The MD will be an integrator across areas like strategic execution, people and culture, operations, legal, finance, and governance. The role ensures that ACP operates as a single, coordinated, high-performing organization.
While this role does not involve sourcing or executing investments, it does require strong fluency in the legal, financial, and operational mechanics that underpin investment and philanthropic activity, including contracts, capital flows, compliance, and governance.
The intentional breadth of this role and its cross-functional nature mean that select responsibilities are out of scope, including owning specific investment/transactional work, owning specific funder/partner relationships, and driving specific back-office functions. Instead, it ensures that ACP’s people,
systems, and priorities are aligned so that the entire organization moves in sync and at speed.
Strong candidates may come from different backgrounds. Some will bring deeper experience in operations, legal, and finance; others will bring deeper experience in strategy, organizational effectiveness, and people leadership. Regardless of background, the MD must bring the judgment, credibility, and range to lead across all areas, make high-quality decisions, and build a durable institution. ACP is looking for a “doer” with a proactive sense of ownership. The successful candidate will be thoughtful and collaborative in execution, appropriately balance humility and tenacity, see around corners (and prepare the organization accordingly), and translate complexity into clear, executable systems and frameworks that can be applied across geographies.

Summary: ACP is seeking a strategic, highly collaborative leader to serve as its Managing Director of Operations & Organizational Effectiveness. This role will serve asthe senior-most internal-facing organizational leader under the CEO – working in partnership with the rest of ACP’s leadership team.
