Summary of Job

50+1 is looking to hire a Digital Organizing and Strategy Contractor to assist our digital team in serving the needs of all of our clients. If you have an attention to detail, a strong appreciation for data, quality assurance, and strategic support, as well as a passion for electing fantastic Democrats/passing critical legislation, please apply! You’ll report to our VP for Digital/Paid Media.

Position is approximately ~35 hours per week, as needed.

Time zone: Will need to be able to work PST hours
Location: Remote, ideally based in California or Washington, DC

Salary

• $35 - $50 /hour DOE
• This is a long-term contract position, starting immediately.
• Benefits will not be provided

Responsibilities

• Strong management of CRM/Email programs and associated strategy
• Digital fundraising and advocacy strategy/campaign development
• Providing content, data, and production strategy and support for the digital team
• Providing production support for the digital team and coordinating with other 50+1 staffers to keep work moving, particularly as it pertains to email programs and advocacy tools
• Preparing social media toolkits and maintaining client social media accounts
• Coding, producing, testing, and targeting emails in NGPVan, Action Network, and other CRM platforms
• Identifying new organizing/advocacy tools
• Supporting the backend development of tools/webpages, etc.
• Working with 50+1 staff to maintain client web presences, including social media accounts and websites
  Acting as data entry support for weekly reporting

Required Qualifications

• A passion for progressive politics, causes, and social equity.
• An excellent eye for detail and ability juggle work for multiple clients at once
• Technical experience should include at least basic knowledge and proficiency in CSS, Canva, Photoshop or HTML.
• Previous experience loading and sending through CRMs with knowledge and experience in at least one or more of the following: Blue State Digital, Action Network, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ActionKit, Blackbaud, Convio, NGP-VAN, or Nationbuilder.
• Strong ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically.
  Deadline-oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  Contractor must track hours in Toggl (in detail - client, task, duration, etc), and share those hours with COO/Ops Department
• Contractor must meet ongoing and competing deadlines for multiple clients, while maintaining work quality and accuracy, within a reasonable time.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with team members/across firm

Additional Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital communications, advertising, political science and/or at least 2+ cycles of political campaign experience
• 3-5 years of relevant, full-time work experience
• Hands-on experience with creating landing pages (fundraising and petition)
• Experience building charts, maps, and/or reports using tools such as
• Excel, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, and/or Tableau; you know a good-looking report from a bad one
• A minimum of +2 Cycles of experience using, manipulating, uploading/downloading data from and executing CRM programs in NGPVan and Action Network (experience with Blue State Digital/other CRM programs a plus)
• Experience recognizing and guiding messaging in multiple voices, including those of high-profile candidates or causes
• Experience directly managing others and collaborating effectively cross-departmentally
