A. POSITION PURPOSEMiller Center for Social Entrepreneurship accelerates entrepreneurship to end global poverty and protect the planet. Located at Santa Clara University (SCU), we aim to make SCU a destination university for social entrepreneurship and impact investment. Our flagship Fellowship program provides meaningful, hands-on opportunities for students to engage with social enterprises from around the world. To further scale our impact and cultivate the next generation of change makers, Miller Center is engaging more faculty and students in meaningful research and learning opportunities with social entrepreneurs, while further incorporating social entrepreneurship into curricula across departments.
The Sr. Manager provides operational leadership for the Miller Center Fellowship and for SCU campus engagement. This person designs and delivers programs and initiatives that deliver directly to the center’s top key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student lives impacted. They are also responsible for excellent program execution as they grow and manage Miller Center’s engagement with the University. They collaborate with staff to ensure SCU students, faculty, and staff are considered and supported in all Miller Center activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design and implement co-curricular student engagement programs, including internships and practical learning engagement with social enterprises (40%)
2. Direct and implement campus engagement activities that promote social entrepreneurship across the University (30%)
3. Direct and implement operations and professional development activities for the Miller Center Fellows and alumni (30%)
PROVIDES WORK DIRECTION
Provides work direction to student employees and consultants. Works cooperatively with other Miller Center staff. Leads cross-functional teams to ensure successful program delivery and partner delight.
RECEIVES WORK DIRECTION FROM
Receives work direction from Miller Center’s Chief Learning Officer.
