Collaboration Proposal for Social Impact Internships with UPES, Dehradun

Warm greetings from UPES University, Dehradun!
My name is Utkarsh Dwivedi, and I am a part of the Career Services Team at UPES, Dehradun. I am writing to you with an exciting and impactful proposal that I believe holds immense potential for both our esteemed organizations.
For nearly two decades, UPES, Dehradun has been committed to molding students into future leaders who not only excel professionally but also contribute positively to society. Our university has received the prestigious QS 5 Stars for Academic Development, along with top ratings in Employability, Facilities, and Program Strength. Our strong industry ties with leading names such as IBM, Microsoft, Xebia, L&T, Tata Power, CISCO, and more empower us to impart unparalleled industry expertise to our students. At UPES, we believe in nurturing not just technical knowledge but also strong ethics and leadership skills, thereby shaping our graduates into exceptional professionals and conscientious global citizens.
I am thrilled to introduce our innovative initiative, the "Srijan Social Internship." This pioneering program mandates that all first-year undergraduate students participate in a two month unpaid social impact internship with esteemed Social Organizations like yours. In the academic year 2022-23, over 3100 of our students dedicated their time, contributing an impressive 700,000+ hours of volunteering to our society. This significant effort was made possible through collaborations with more than 750 esteemed organizations, NGOs and CSRs.
Our esteemed partner network includes notable organizations such as Plan International, Sewa International, Africa-Asia Youth Foundation, Teach for India, WWF, CRY, Ladli Foundation, Vedanta Foundation, Room to Read, Kotak Education Foundation, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Katha, among others.
As we prepare for upcoming academic batches, we are eager to expand our collaborative network to include globally respected organizations like yours. This expansion will provide our students with the opportunity to serve diverse communities across crucial areas such as Health, Education, Rural Development, and Women Empowerment, directly contributing to the achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goals.
