Hi!

A leading diabetes nonprofit is seeking an experienced Fractional Brand Strategy Director to provide interim support during a team member's leave.

This remote, contract-based engagement will partner closely with the VP of Marketing & Communications to guide brand strategy, messaging, campaign planning, content strategy, and cross-functional marketing efforts across a global diabetes community.

Key areas of focus include:
  • Brand strategy and positioning
  • Messaging and content strategy
  • Program marketing and campaign development
  • Audience engagement and storytelling
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has significant experience in brand strategy, communications, marketing, content strategy, or campaign development
  • Brings strong writing, messaging, and positioning skills
  • Has experience supporting mission-driven organizations, nonprofits, healthcare, advocacy, or community-centered brands
  • Can quickly step into an existing ecosystem and provide strategic, high-impact support
  • Balances big-picture thinking with hands-on execution

Important: Demonstrated knowledge of diabetes is required. This may come through lived experience, professional work, advocacy, healthcare communications, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, or another meaningful connection to the diabetes space. Candidates without diabetes knowledge or experience will not be considered.

To apply, please send:
  • A brief introduction and relevant experience
  • Details about your diabetes knowledge and connection to the community
  • Your approach to stepping into an interim fractional role
  • Relevant work samples or examples
  • Availability and preferred weekly capacity
  • Rate information (hourly, project, or retainer)
  • :e-mail: Send materials to: m...@changeishere.co

Please feel free to share with your networks. We're looking for someone who can provide thoughtful, senior-level support while honoring the voice, trust, and lived experience of the diabetes community.
