Title: Head of Development and Investor Relations
Reports To: Ahmed Saeed, Chief Executive Officer – with dotted line to other senior leaders
Location: New York City preferred. Open to other North America locations with regular travel to NYC.
Description: ACP is seeking a Head of Development & Investor Relations who will architect and drive ACP’s forward-looking strategy for fundraising and external presence. This role requires a well-networked, strategic thinker and “doer” who deeply understands ACP’s model, structure, vision/ambition, and strategy and is a highly effective relationship builder, content creator, and communicator. Domain expertise in catalytic capital, philanthropic fundraising, climate, and similar domains – while not required – is highly encouraged.
This individual will report to the CEO and will primarily be tasked with leading fundraising engagements that deliver a step-change in terms of ACP grants and impact investments, including contributing to existing fundraising efforts already ongoing in 2026. Day-to-day responsibilities include: working to build strong relationships at multiple levels across various funder organizations (e.g., HNWIs, family offices, foundations, impact investors); visiting key organizations and providing them with regular updates on ACP performance and ambition; helping to refine ACP’s strategic narrative; creating powerful external-facing materials; working with colleagues to deeply understand, articulate, and refine key elements of ACP’s model (e.g., underlying investments, portfolio, impact); securing investment and grant commitments; structuring investment and grant agreements; and building internal systems. This effort will require both securing deeper commitments from existing supporters as well as unlocking new supporters.
This individual will also oversee all of ACP’s Communications and Investor Relations functions, which include activities related to funder reporting, stewardship, community building, events, external communications, and brand building.
This individual will manage a team of 1-2 initially. Domestic and international travel of 20-40% is expected.
