Our unique ecosystem of services and experiences provides influential leaders and organizations with essential strategy, connections and amplification. NationSwell is a certified B Corp, which means we are organized to achieve that mission and our profits are inextricably linked to achieving that mission. Role Overview

NationSwell is seeking a Business Development (Partnerships) team member to join our Growth team, this role is rooted in the ability to align our unique ecosystem and services to the needs of organizations across Fortune 500 companies, foundations, family offices and major nonprofits. Somewhat unique to NationSwell, we refer to clients as partners -- and see all aspects of sales (new business, market positioning, lead generation, negotiation) as falling under our Partnerships umbrella.

A successful candidate in this role will be a combination hunter/gatherer, they will enjoy and thrive opening doors and creating new relationships outside of our network and leading them to mutually beneficial long term collaboration. One will build a clear understanding of the full suite of NationSwell offerings including Institutional Membership, Studio Integrated Campaigns, Sponsorships, Special Initiatives and Individual Memberships to maximize impact and enterprise potential. They will work to forge new relationships with C-suite leaders, VPs and Directors, and to help steer partner conversations to proposals from introductions through contracting and internal launch. This is an existing role now vacant due to an internal team role evolution, with a wonderful opportunity to learn from one's predecessor and colleagues.

What will you do?

  • Growth: Focus on enterprise growth by leading and closing new partnership opportunities. Build and nurture a sales pipeline and prospect lists composed of the nation’s top organizations. Drive impact by locating, developing, defining, and closing executive-level partnerships intersecting our ecosystem.
  • Sales strategy: Help to further define recent additions to our offerings. You will strategize the arc of the sale and the information/resources necessary to take a prospective client from lead to close and onboarding.
  • Champion all NationSwell solutions: Drive business growth by identifying opportunities for expanded scopes with existing partners, and, as appropriate, complimentary opportunities for new partners + partnerships.
  • Professionalize our pitch process: Standardize our communication with prospects by identifying consistent sales messaging, crafting winning proposals, and giving thoughtful pitch presentations.
  • Represent NationSwell: Act as ambassador at conferences and events as necessary. Surface new opportunities to introduce NationSwell to more companies and organizations dedicated to Impact.
  • Transition accounts: Work closely with our accounts team to ensure smooth handoff.
  • Renewals: Support renewals by acting as thought-partner to our accounts team.
  • Product Innovations: Work across Editorial, Council and Studio teams to continually improve our offerings. Stay up on industry trends and act as conduit for any shifting partner priorities or needs.
  • Model our core values of Innovation, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Inclusion and Inspiration.

What are you like?

Successful candidates will excel at connecting with our diverse group of prospects and partners (clients), identifying their key priorities and finding the right NationSwell solution for them.
