Youth Champions is looking for Facilitators to start this fall!

We’re an LA-based nonprofit helping underserved high school students build confidence, explore careers, and grow through weekly virtual workshops. Facilitators lead small groups using a provided curriculum, but the real impact comes from sharing your own career story, lessons learned, and lived experience.

It takes less than 5 minutes.

The commitment:

About 2-2.5 hours per week total, including preparation and facilitation
Virtual workshops are typically held between 3:45–8:00 PM PT on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
Each workshop runs about 1 hour and 15 minutes
Facilitators are placed on a consistent schedule so they can build continuity with one student group
Monday facilitator forum/training is offered in a morning or evening option and recorded if you can’t attend live
A few daytime workshop opportunities are available for those only free during the day
LA-based facilitators may also join optional in-person field trips

You’ll apply as a Facilitator. Based on program needs, availability, and fit, you may be invited to join as either:

Core Facilitator - Leads one student group all year, about 24 workshops total, and builds lasting relationships with students.
Flex Facilitator - Teaches 6–8 workshops with the same student group whenever possible, giving students exposure to more professional voices.

Applicants are primarily considered for Core Facilitator positions; some may be invited to join as Flex Facilitators based on fit.

Who we’re looking for:
Professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders who can speak from real experience, simplify big ideas, connect with teenagers, and genuinely enjoy mentoring. No teaching background is required.
