This role sits at the center of fund building — partnering closely with our Appalachia Ecosystem Manager to scout and screen potential investments, co-manage deal flow across debt, equity, and hybrid structures, and lead end-to-end underwriting. You’ll build rigorous financial models and stress tests, structure creative transactions, and produce clear, compelling investment memoranda for senior leadership and the Investment Committee.
We’re looking for someone with investment experience (private equity, growth equity, venture, investment banking, or impact investing), strong modeling and structuring skills, and the judgment to navigate ambiguity in a multi-product, early-stage fund environment.
Experience in rural or underserved markets — particularly Central Appalachia — is required, as is comfort leveraging AI and modern analytics tools to enhance rigor and efficiency. This is an opportunity to deploy capital thoughtfully, strengthen regional investment ecosystems, and play a meaningful role in revitalizing communities across Appalachia.
