FreeWill is an award-winning, social-good startup that has partnered with 1000+ nonprofits who support our mission while raising more than $6.6B in bequests to charities since we were founded in 2017. We’ve been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, Oprah’s magazine, and our co-CEOs have even been named to Town & Country’s “Top 50 Philanthropists” list.

All of this is because we’ve figured out how to make some powerful (but complicated!) ways to donate much easier and more accessible. Our products make things easier for the donors who want to change the world and for nonprofits doing heroic work around the planet.

In the last 5 years, we’ve grown from 5 people to 200+ (all smart, tenacious, and kind), and continue to grow. We’d love to have you be a part of this adventure. Check us out on Glassdoor!

Part-Time • 4-month Contract •  Work from Anywhere in the US (except CO, AL, or LA)

About the role

FreeWill is seeking a Partner Success Operations Support contractor to validate charitable gifts created by users of FreeWill’s tools. This contract role is part of the Partner Success Operations team, and ensures we are delivering high quality donor stewardship opportunities to our nonprofit partners. Support Associates play a key role as FreeWill’s Partner Success team grows rapidly and accelerates our work supporting nonprofits (large and small) across the country.

Time commitment is approximately 10 hours per week. Candidates must be available 1-2 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm EST. The role also requires 3 hours per day on Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend.

FreeWill has set compensation and a non-negotiation policy for fairness reasons (we don't think that an individual's pay should be determined by how comfortable they are negotiating). As a result, we like to be transparent and up front about the compensation. Compensation for this role will be $25 per hour. This role is a contract position and is not eligible for benefits.

Support Operations Associate Goals
  • Drive continuous process improvement to achieve and maintain operational excellence for a partner-facing team
  • Work cross-functionally to support a superior partner experience
  • Facilitate smooth milestones along customer journey, including onboarding, renewal, partnership reviews, engagement, strategist transitions, and churn
  • Proactively support team members
  • Ensure all critical data is captured and workflows/automations are efficient
  • Document existing and future operations frameworks; help develop training materials
  • Bring creative solutions to a broad range of operational challenges
Responsibilities
  • Review and assess charitable gifts created by users of FreeWill’s tools
  • Decide which gifts are surfaced for our nonprofit partners
  • Communicate with members of the Partner Success team in addressing partner questions and concerns related to gift validation process errors. This may require advising team members on how to frame process errors externally to partners.
  • Act with FreeWill’s values of focus, joy, kindness, and courage

FreeWill is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity. We are committed to finding talent that is not determined on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected under the law.

We are a remote-first company that’s able to hire in 47 states and D.C. Unfortunately, we are unable to hire in Colorado, Alabama, or Louisiana at this time. We also can’t sponsor working visas, so all applicants will need to have work authorization in the US.

Excited about our mission? Success in serving nonprofit partners requires our dedication to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team. We encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds and all walks of life to apply. We can’t wait to learn with and from you.
