SDTIC Update regarding spring 2025 plans!

Dear SDTIC Community,

 

We have decided to postpone our in-person research meeting at SRCD in Minneapolis, MN next spring (May 1-3, 2025). As much as we looked forward to it, there is a priority of focusing on a long-term organizational structure to manage future meetings and expenses. This includes structuring a funding system to allow volunteer meeting organizers to not incur the burden of meeting costs.  Our committee will investigate potential funding sources this year. If you have any ideas, please feel free to send them to our committee (Franklin, Melanie, Buse, Wendy).

 

Instead, for the SRCD meeting in Minneapolis, we are proposing an SDTIC pre-dinner social on May 2nd, Friday night from 5:30 to 7:00pm at a local cafe/bar.  🌷☕🍷

The evening social would be our opportunity to catch up with one another in a more informal manner.  Because it will be only drinks and snacks (pre-dinner), each person would be responsible for their own expenses. 

Be on the lookout for a brief survey for us to know if this date will work.   We will identify a locale when it gets closer and send an RSVP by early March or so!

In the meantime, we will have a virtual meeting in January/February -- details to come this fall.
