Apologies for multiple receptions.

This call is addressed to PhD students.

---------------------------

Dear all,

We are delighted to announce that we are organizing a two-week workshop entitled “Fair and Explainable Collective Decision”, which will take place from March 30th to April 10th at Institut Pascal (Orsay, FRANCE)

During the workshop, two main topics will be addressed, namely participatory budgeting and matchings under preferences, examined through the lens of fairness and explainability. Each week will be dedicated to one of these topics.

The workshop will consist of invited talks, tutorials, working sessions, and short presentations by participants. The preliminary program, as well as a brief description of the workshop, are available on the workshop website:
https://indico.ijclab.in2p3.fr/event/11972/

The invited speakers are: Jiehua Chen (TU Wien), Ágnes Cseh (University of Bayreuth), Ulle Endriss (University of Amsterdam), Bettina Klaus (University of Lausanne), Jan Maly (WU Wien), Nicolas Maudet (Sorbonne Université), Dominik Peters (CNRS, Université Paris-Dauphine), and Piotr Skowron (University of Warsaw).

Please note that the number of available places is limited. If you are interested, we encourage you to apply by submitting your CV and a motivation letter, by February 1st 2026, through this form.

Please note also that that we will cover your accommodation expenses and provide lunches; however, transportation costs and dinners will not be covered.

Finally, don't hesitate to contact us if you need more information.

Best Regards

Local organizing committee
Chloé Le Bail, Vincent Mousseau, Wassila Ouerdane, Fabien Tarissan, and Anaëlle Wilczynski
