Many players did not show up last Sunday, and make the "team" very weak.
A different team from camel valley played last sunday on the same ground instead .
They mentioned their team always appear on the field on time.
They have some strict rule keeping people in time: The one that is later will get penalty: take the door, etc.

Also, in the play, they change the door keeper periodically (every 7 min) so keep every body fair in front of the door.

Should we also come up with some "law" to make our team more active?

Yes, we do have some problems. However, I see 4s-RANCH TEAM is the best casual pick up soccer environment after playing with so many teams in many places:

1. We don’t complain each other (I see this in almost every other places)
2. We are not physical (Only occasionally we crash to each other)
3. We play more like with friends than with opponents.

These three points are priceless.

 

The problem you guys mentioned can be solved if everyone try to be on time and try to bring more friends here.

I will bring more people to the fields too.

 

I will be there on Sunday, play with kids most time.

we had a very nice game today. 10 player played in the field. Some of them are new, and are welcome.

It is very important to have our own team so we can have a regular and fun exercise every week. Without this team, I'm not sure if any body can keep a regular exercise, as we all seems facing all kind of pressures from life and job. As we are getting older, we are not so rich on the number of soccer games we can play.

Please avoid making excuse that you don't have time for the game. If you regard it as part of your life and has higher priority than your job, you will have time. It is just 3 hours for one week.

To keep the team attractive to all people, I would suggest:

1) come on time. currently we agree 3:00pm. But try your best to come no later than 3:15pm. To be on time is to pay respect to each other and the team.
2) No complaint on other people if you feel they did not do good job at game. In some other team, people just want to complain for no reason, which really really destroy the good relation of a team, and cause lots of problem. Complaining is just a bad habit and only shows the guy is still a big boy. We are all adult!

3) please try to avoid big physical collision and keep the game polite. So far, we did a very good job on this. We should keep it.

Finally, I wanted to emphasize: Our object is to have fun and regular exercise.

It was so nice that our president, Lian Jian, recovered from his injury and showed up in the field. We had 9 people on the field last Sunday, it woul dbe better if we have 10 or more.
