Dear all,
Since last October, although this list has been hibernating -- we have been very active underneath the surface!
The result is an invitation to you, to the first Social Startup Lab -- a world premiere!
What is Social Startup Lab?
The lab is a seed, a fractal. It is a practice in collaboration. It is a learning by doing for communities.
Highlights that are relevant to this list is that:
we will apply Asset Based Community Development in the morning, and in the afternoon we will apply the Business Model Canvas process, followed by Lean Startup Tools, followed by the Action Cycle -- the most minimal collaboration ruleset we know.
This is one very condensed rich event -- we think it has the power to unlock a lot of energy.
It has taken us 9 months to nail the labs process down to the essence. We have taken the best of a huge selection of methods and condensed them in a design that will create new kinds of jobs, and together with our skills camps, include disenfranchised people in the process.
it is an answer to three things: funding cuts, recession and job-hopelessness, through entrepreneurship, innovation and participatory processes.
Who will be there:
A combination of a *mix* of local people + the sharpest doers and thinkers in our London-wide networks
We are relying on our trusted contacts like yourselves, to get the right balance of doers and thinkers at the event, and the right balance of local and London-wide so please send this to one or two people you trust.
Great news is all tickets are now fully subsidized so you don't pay a penny! (We will operate a feed-forward optional contribution to next event at end of this one, based on value people have experienced)
