LSESU Microfinance Society launch - Development, Microfinance and Social Business

Tonight (Wed 11 Nov) at the London School of Economics from 6pm till 8pm, there will be presentations followed by Q & A with:

• BRAC UK - Informing us about their amazing work with poverty reduction in Bangladesh & doing similar work in the UK
• Sofia Bustamante, founder of London Creative Labs - Telling us about an innovative approach to worklessness in London inspired by the pioneering systemic methods of Grameen & BRAC.
• Kevin Kilty, Young Ambassadors for Opportunity - Giving a brief presentation of the work of Opportunity International and how people can get involved in their work.
• Dr Phyllis Santamaria, head of Microfinance Without Borders - she will be giving us the low down on the developments that have been occurring here; business training programs for borrowers, chicken farm social enterprise and Jamii Bora's work helping groups of disadvantaged women.

Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to mingle over a glass of wine and snacks.
