Hello Fellow SOTA enthusiasts.
I may have the opportunity to do an activation Saturday. I’m thinking something in the San Gabriel Range.

The 2 has a closure do to a slide. Typical right. It says “14 MI EAST OF LA CANADA TO 18.1 MI EAST OF LA CANADA” is this the typical closure between Islip Saddle and Dawson Saddle?

I thought about doing Islip and perhaps Williamson if I have it in me. I’m just wondering which way I should approach from?

Ideas? Thoughts? Concerns?

That's going to be on the West side of HWY 2.  The Red Box turn off for Mt. Wilson is around 14 Miles up from the 210 (La Canada.)

You can approach Islip, Dawson, etc from the Wrightwood (East) side. Unless of course there are other issues.

Ton's of SOTA peaks over there.

Worst case you can also look up the ranger station and call.  That has worked for me in the past.
