I had a great time and an honor to get eyeballs on W6RIP and learn some of the ham whisperer's secrets.

So did you guys activate Bertha? I was up there Sunday, but only activated Keller.

I tried to activate Bertha, but approached from the East side. Kept hiking down the main trail, but didn’t see any side trail to take me south and up the north face of the mountain. I didn’t have a lot of time and didn’t find an easy way up, so abandoned that plan.

Has anyone ever approached Bertha from the east? If so, how’d you do it?

We ran out of time after doing Arctic and decided to do Keller on the way out.  We weren't able to get in as close via road and probably ended up hiking an extra mile.

I've never done Bertha.  Our original plan was Adam was going to drop me off (he has already done it) and I was going to summit Bertha while he did Delamar.

Adam probably has the style on this but below was what I charted out prior to the trip in All Trails.  You can go to my entire map HERE.
