Happy New Year everyone!

I’m sitting at my desk this afternoon feeling utterly grateful that I’ve spent another Holiday Season in Long Beach and all the blessings that have come to me as a result, including being part of our NVC community with you!

My 2013 training schedule is already full and I will only be offering a couple of multi-day workshops/retreats in SoCal.

January 2013 Workshop

The first one is in January and it’s called Finding Freedom through Radical Self-Compassion.  This workshop is specifically designed for intermediate to advanced NVCers.  My intention is to create an intensive healing opportunity for those of us who are beyond the basics.  The focus, then, will be on taking NVC to the next level, the level of acceptance, forgiveness and compassion for ourselves.   All our relationships benefit when we do this.

Finding Freedom through Radical Self-Compassion will be held Friday-Sunday, January 18-20 at a beautiful home in Capistrano Beach.  It only holds 11 registrants and several seats are already taken.  So, if you’d like to ensure your spot, please register soon.  Also, note that there is a large discount if you register by January 1st.

My second multi-day workshop is a retreat in Lake Arrowhead in June.  I’ll be sending more information on this in the next few months.

Telephone Peace Vigil and Guided Meditation

Also, I’m offering two FREE guided meditations by telephone this New Year’s Eve, 7:00am and 5:00pm.  I want to build NVC community around the possibility of creating peace.  That is, each of us taking actions that create peace in our daily lives, thus infusing peace into our world.  I am passionate about the great power each of us has for creating peace.  I think we sometimes miss the impact our daily actions have because we’re so focused on the great despair and violence in the world.  For me, shifting our focus and committing ourselves to peace at home makes a profound impact on our lives and on the world.  Please join me in starting the New Year off with a guided meditation to invite in peace for 2013.

Then, later in January, I’ll be announcing a daily meditation telephone series that is all about creating an NVC Sangha of sorts.  A place where committed NVCers can gather via telephone for 20 minutes a day and enjoy community and meditation, and to remind ourselves of the values we want to live each day.  It’s so easy to forget our values when life gets tough, isn’t it?  I want to support us all in consistently coming back to and living from our deepest values.  I’ll be sending more information on this series in a week or so.

I hope you’ll join me in the January workshop, Finding Freedom through Radical Self-Compassion or the New Year’s Eve Telephone Peace Vigil

Sending you wishes of peace and warmth throughout 2013.

Mary
