Brother and sister giraffes,

This Monday, we’re having a conference call with the purpose of organizing a giraffe camping trip or two.  The agenda:

·         Where should we camp?

·         What dates?  (This may become a follow-up Doodle to maximize the number that can make it.)

·         Anything else pertinent to making this happen.

The conference call will begin at 5:30 pm on Monday, May 26, 2014.

Dial-in: 1-857-232-0159

Conference code: 728027

Please dial in a couple minutes early so that we can start on time.

The call will be recorded to help capture all thoughts and ideas, as well as so that others, who miss the call, can hear what transpires.

Talk with you Monday,

Joe

Hi Guys,
I would make the call, since I will be on the road with many others I guess.  Keep me informed as I am interested in participating, just not at windy Gaviota State Beach.
Warmly,
Alicia

Hi there,

I was on the scheduled call until the system timed out because there was no one else there.  Did the time or number change from what’s below?  Is the call taking place?  Please let me know if it is.

Thanks Rodger

James and Alara tried dialing in and it said conference hadn't started yet.  Waiting for host to come on it sounds like.  :)

Dear fellow giraffes,

I'm feeling disappointed, sad and embarrassed that I forgot about the phone call I set up regarding camping. Pre-occupied, I didn't remember until I awoke and saw the messages from those who attempted to join the conference call.

I regret that I was not  reliable yesterday, and imagine you were wanting clarity, predictability, efficiency and a desire to move forward to some giraffe fun.

I'm scratching my head with an urge to fix this quickly but the only strategy I see is to set up a new doodle and, of course, to take steps to make sure this wont happen again.

If someone sees a different strategy, please let me know.

I sincerely apologize,

Joe

Thanks for sharing your regret  and some empathy for us.  I appreciate having clarity about what happened.  I’m letting this go and look forward to the call when rescheduled.  Thanks for initiating this and continuing to offer leadership.  I want to go camping and play with you.

Love N Peace

Hi Joe,
How about a little empathy.  I hear how embarrassed you are, really wishing you hadn't forgotten the call.  I'm guessing you really want to be seen as reliable and responsible.  I'm going to guess that because it was a holiday, your routine was broken and things didn't happen the way they usually do (like checking your calendar).  Just want you to know that my routine was also broken and I didn't make the call either. Looking forward to your setting up a new call.  I can't wait to go camping with you.
