Dear Friends,

Last week I invited you to attend a call to learn about the NVC Academy’s new innovation.  Our launch went BEAUTIFULLY and I am thrilled with the response.  Now, I’m writing to tell you more about the innovation and how it could support you and your work, and to ask you to attend a Q&A session mid-January to give us your input so that we can continue to develop it in a way that most supports you and the broader NVC network.

It’s called the NVC Marketplace (http://www.nvcmarketplace.com) and it was designed by Mark Schultz, co-founder of the NVC Academy, with a little help from the rest of our team.  In brief, the Marketplace provides a platform for people to buy and sell NVC products, resources, curriculum, DVDs/MP4s, CDs/MP3s, and anything NVC-like that you can imagine, IN ONE PLACE!

Have you ever heard about an NVC product and thought, “How come I haven’t heard about this before!” or maybe “Hmmm.  I wonder where I go to buy it.”  At the NVCA, we get emails and calls from people who want to buy something but don’t know where to go to get it.  I’ve spent a fair amount of my time researching these things to help trainers sell their ‘stuff.’

Much of the stuff out there isn’t known at all b/c it’s created by non-CTs.  For instance, there’s a book coming out soon on NVC and pastoral care that was written by two college professors that I know.  I know someone else, a long time NVC enthusiast but not a trainer, who wrote a sweet children’s book.  I have another friend who wrote a book about NVC and Christianity.  We wanted these folks to have a way to get the word out about their products too.

Our goals in creating the NVC Marketplace, then, were to support people in accessing all the NVC products and resources that are available in one easy-to-get-to place, and also to provide one more place for trainers and others to sell their NVC products to increase their visibility, outreach and revenue.  And, we wanted it to be EASY for everyone so we’re making it fully automated.

Vendors will have full access/control of their products through their individual accounts and they will ship their products (if they’re not downloadable).  The NVCA will promote the Marketplace, be responsible for receiving payments for products, and pay vendors.

We launched our BETA NVC Marketplace with NVC Academy products only b/c we could do that efficiently.  So, we’re off to a good start.  Now, we’re working with a few trainers to help us get the vendor application process tested and automated.  Our hope is that by end-January, we’ll be reach to open our arms to many vendors who want to sell products!

We are so thrilled to be offering the NVC Marketplace to you and our worldwide network of NVC enthusiasts and we hope you’re excited about the possibilities too!  If you haven’t already done so, please visit the NVC Marketplace (http://www.nvcmarketplace.com) and check it out.

In celebration and with warm Holiday wishes,

Mary

p.s.  FYI…all products are 50% off through December 24th!
