Guys,
I wanted to run this past you guys before trying anything.
The number one request was that I get the old email system working
again. Bascially it sounded like you guys were always stoked to get
the forecast in email form. You didn't have to track it down, just
bing! and it was in your inbox like a little golden nugget of
nonsense.
Unfortunately, while this google-groups thing has worked pretty good
it lacked a couple of key things...namely a way that I could control
the template better, and there wasn't really a way for a sponsor to
get involved.
Since I now have a new email system built...I would like to port over
this google-group list so that you guys can start getting the forecast
emails again. First off though I would like your permission to do
this...I don't want you guys to get bummed that signed you up for
something without telling you...and second I wanted you to know that I
will be changing the content of the emails so that they will be closer
to what we have going on this groups list.
-----------------
1. The daily forecasts - will have the full forecast in the email
(Yea!) so you can get the full Socal Info just like you did before.
2. The long-range forecast - will come in a shorter abbreviated form,
so you will have to click on the email to get to the full long-range
forecast over on the site itself.
3. Any swell alerts (or random heads ups) will come in the full
email.
------------------
So that is about it...if you are cool with this, just hang on I will
move the list over in a day or so.
If you don't want to be put on the new list, just go ahead and email
me and I will take you off before I switch things.
If you start getting the emails and don't like them it is very easy
to unsubscribe, the links are built into the template.
Thanks guys!
Hope you get a few fun ones on these upcoming S swells.
Cheers!
Adam
