Newer racers especially can benefit from a bit of research about the race they are attempting. While there are many creative ways to research a race, here are some basics: • Carefully read the race promoters website. It will likely identify all events, give length estimations and provide the venue. • Look for race reports from past races. If the same race has been held in past year, there are likely "race reports" available online. Adventure Race Reports is a website dedicated to publishing such reports and is an excellent starting point. Internet searches will also reveal interesting tidbits about past years' races.
