McCain calls Biden 'formidable'; McCain underestands the strength of the Democratic ticket he faces

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told CBS News' Katie Couric on Saturday that Sen.
Joe Biden (D-Del.) is a "formidable" but "wise" choice for the Democratic
ticket.
Couric, anchor and managing editor of the "CBS Evening News," sat down with
McCain at his cabin in Sedona, Ariz., hours after Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.)
announced his choice.
"I think he's a good selection," McCain said. "Joe and I have been friends
for many, many years, and we know each other very well, and so I think he's
made a very wise selection. I know that Joe will campaign well for Sen.
Obama, and so I think he's going to be very formidable. Obviously, Joe and I
have been on different philosophical sides, but we have been - I consider
him a good friend and a good man."
Couric asked McCain if it will now be more difficult to criticize Obama's
foreign policy credentials, since Biden is an experienced and respected
voice on Capitol Hill.
McCain replied that while he has always respected Biden, they "really have
different approaches to many national security issues." ..."

strongly partisan sites of either the Democrap or the Repugnican flavors so
I don't know how well they were covered on either.
For a lot of years I had real hopes that the Demos really had the concerns
and the interests of most middle income, working class Americans at the core
of their policies and beliefs,....and then came Pelosi, and now her protege
the "Precious One" and his Obamacratic clan. Its very disillusioning and
leaves me with much concern and worry for the future of our nation.
