What a hoot! Here I had worried since Monday about getting weighed at
the dr's office this morning when I went in to have a mole removed - all
for nothing. The nurse didn't weigh me, just sent me along to the minor
surgery room. I should have asked her why (but I was too relieved!)- if
this was a change of policy or what, because I've always been weighed,
no matter what I was there for. I know it would sure change my attitude
about going to the dr's office if I knew I wouldn't be weighed other
than for the annual physical.

I'm so happy you didn't get weighed for that simple procedure.. but
don't let it make you forget to decline weighins for any reason you
don't seem to agree upon!!
Since you're paying their salary, stand up for your rights as a
consumer!

For what it is worth my doctor told me that the insurance companies require
them to weight all patients. I have refused to be weighted unless I feel it
pertains to the illiness I am seeking help for.

If you run into a medical staff memeber that treats you with less respect then
you deserve confront them. If you don't they will continue to be
desrespectful.

Thank you,

Michelle
