Re the now expired Back & Forth Thread. A couple of months back I
decided to phone my ex-ex-ex-ex-ex-ex-ex-ex-SO and explain what I would
and wouldn't deal with in the relationship.

Last night I called and finished the relationship. I didn't want to do
that, but it's gone beyond what I was prepared to deal with.

And since I'm not gonna deal with this Back & Forth stuff another time,
it can be chalked up as another failed B&F.

I feel like shit, but at least it's decided.

So I guess I'm an official single now :-)

Or should that be :-(

Don't you at least feel a sense of relief? You're going to miss all
the adrenaline rushes, but if I can kick the nicotine habit (I'm trying
too), then maybe you can kick your addiction too.

Yeah man, those quick changes from happy to sad, the uncertainty.
Try living life a little instead of the danger. <--- not a flame,
hopefully a consolation.

I'm not gonna say it...
I'm not gonna say it...
I'm not gonna say it...

A bit. I'm pretty sad that it came to that in the end though.

I think I got over getting anything out of the uncertainly quite a while ago.

: Try living life a little instead of the danger.

Yep, it looks like new hobby time. Haven't worked out what yet though...

Curiously, I was out with friends last month for dinner. The place
"Parrots" in Edinburgh had a kind of death-by-chocolate dessert. Since
I'd realised that half of the messages here that aren't about chainmail
bikinis are about chocolate, I figured what the hell. It had chocolate
muffins, a couple of flavours of chocolate ice cream, chocolate cream,
chocolate mousse, chocolate sauce and chocolate flakes.

I did my best, but I didn't manage to finish it :-(

Still, I'm not gonna give up on just one try :-)

My mother and some of her coworkers, years ago, made a dessert called
"death by chocolate". It contained *12* pounds of chocolate, four
boxes of cocoa powder, and a five pound bag of sugar. Ended up
weighing something like 25 pounds. She's been threatening to make it
again as of late...
