I have a Chinchilla in my kitchen. True, the Chinchilla doesn't
have a name, but it's a real Chinchilla. It's even paid for.

Alas, I cannot compete with these folks,

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23601914/

who fit 800 dogs in a triple-wide trailer. Fortunately, they were
*small* dogs, Chihuahuas and such, which allowed them to squeeze
in the 82 parrots.

Animal abuse workers said the elderly couple was "overwhelmed"
trying to knit sweaters for all the diminutive canines.

Neighbors expressed surprise over the discovery. "We thought
they had two or three dogs, that they walked several hundred
times a day", said Zebulon Kasack, who lives across the road.

Oh, well, them's the breaks, I guess. I better go let the
Nameless Chinchilla out so it can reduce the only decent piece of
furniture in my kitchen to splinters.

I beg to differ! Perhaps you're a bit low on Chihuahuas and
parrots, but your bin of thermocouples and various other
hot water heater parts is brimming over. And then there
is your bin of toilet gaskets and o-rings, not to mention
your bin of bent Craftsman screwdrivers waiting to be
exchanged. And how about that bin of copper pipe
fittings, waiting patiently to be fitted to pipes? Let's not
even get in to the bins of spare computer bits, Mr.
I-am-the-Mother-Teresa-of-Homeless-Computers!

Luckily you took in a animal that came with her own fabulous
fur coat.

If she's going to walk around in a chinchilla coat, she
needs a fancy sounding name.

I think I'm going to call her "Sasser" or "Blaster"; she scaled
the metro rack of computers and crawled into the server and
wouldn't come out.

She also managed to escape the Chinchilla zone, scale the Wall
of Doom, and wind up on top of the radiator. From there, she
executed a daring leap to the Forbidden Table, where she took a
victory dump on my new laptop.

Well, the Chinchilla is still nameless, but you can see her
exploits here:

http://picasaweb.google.com/plaguestar/Chinchilla#

she seems to be much more lively with fresh hay, quality
pellets, and regular exercise. She likes to bounce off things.

well it isn't because we lack the faith that he'll
not come up with something good on his own.
so it must be that we want to make sure that
he'll have the fully explored broad goodness that
life can offer him.

or something...

After watching her "hip-hop" around, I'm thinking "ghostface chilla".

Victory makes a Saison? I want some.

I was at a conference from Mon-Thu this week where the hotel bar had
Victory Golden Monkey. The hotel that I'm at now (typing this from the
bar) has a decent selection as well. I'm about to order a Smithwicks.

*sneer*

Waiting patiently for me on my next northern adventure is a bottle of
the Sam Adams, some Brooklyn Brewery's Black Chocolate Stout, and some
Ithica Beer Company Gorges Smoked Porter.

I would add a bottle of Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence to that list.

I...I think we have. Oh dear, am I becoming so jaded with quality beer
that I can't keep up with them anymore?
