The sheriff's department is taking forever to make the incident report
available, I haven't even turned in my claim to the insurance company
yet, so I have time to browse and compare at this point. My computer
was a Dell, and I was very pleased with it. It was running well at 5
years old, the only real problem was with the Nvidea drivers. I'm
leaning towards another Dell. A quick look at the web site, and I
already have a question.
Should I get a blu-ray DVD player or not? I don't watch a lot of
movies, and about the only time I watch one from a disc on the
computer is when I can't get it to play on the regular DVD player.
Anything else I should be reading up on?

The Sheriff's Department called, they took in a lot of stolen goods in
a raid, and they want me to come down and see if I can ID any as mine.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but, oh, if I could get just the
tower of the computer back so I can get my pictures and records back,
I won't even whine about the camera or the monitor or anything else. I
haven't backed it up since last December, and it has my last pictures
of Matilda, and the first pictures of Isabelle. Plus, of course, the
programs I downloaded and don't have disks for or passwords and such.
Keep your fingers crossed...

everything changes so fast, i do pretty much what you are
doing, i.e. read up when i have to.

Yeah, about $120 at Dell. I haven't played with other brand
configurations. The more I think about it, and on the advice of He Who
Plagues, I probably will pass on the Blu-ray.

The best porn is on VHS, anyway.
