I have always been fascinated by the idea of a spanking machine. Has
anyone ever made one? If so-how, and was it successful?

Yes I made my own by supergluing leather straps to a motorcycle wheel then
running the sprocket chain to a variable speed motor with reverse.your locsl
suppliers can provide all parts and easy to nail together a box to put the
motor on. any hardware store has a sttel rod for the axle of wheel cheapest
way is to buy a variable speed reversing drill with a chuck big enough to hold
axle of drive sprocket.

I'm sorry I missed that. The question starting this post about a spanking
machine made me think back to a memory about a book I read as a child. I
don't remember much about the book, I was pretty young, but there was a
spanking machine and a little boy and little girl had to go through this
passage to be able to get to their destination. It was round and had a wheel
with big padded gloves placed sporadically around the wheel! Even then, I
was fascinated.
