Cakeheads for a Cure is the team to which Michele's friend, Brian, and her
sister and brother-in-law belong. They will be partcipating in a 12 hour
relay in which each team must have one member on the track at all times.
They need more team members and more pledges of money. One can also
purchase a luminary to help inspire the runners after nightfall. (I believe
that the event runs from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.)
I don't want to proselytize for the cause, just keep the information
available to people who may not have seen it when it was posted previously.

Thanks, Peach.
It's also still possible to add a message for Michele's
family in the condolence book at:
http://www.personalalternative.com/
The messages will be printed and given to her family in a
few weeks. Look for her name in the drop-down window, click
"view," and you can add your message. You can identify
yourself however you wish -- real name, screen name,
location, etc. You don't have to fill in anything you don't
want to.
Molly B
Thanks.

"Peach (or anyone who posted it before), can you remind me again how to
donate? Something to do with not giving real name except for the payment
portion? I just looked it up but don't see how you can avoid it."
There are two parts to the on-line form you fill out, Pam, or one can
consider there to be two forms.
The first form asks for the name of the "donor" and the form assumes the
"donor" resides in British Columbia, Canada. One must keep that province
and country on that form. The process of paying will not work any other
way.
I used Michele's name and address there, thereby donating in her name.
MollyB pointed out that one could just enter his own name and street address
there and allow it to go through with British Columbia and Canada
(incorrectly) listed as the donor's province and country.
Yet another alternative would be to enter any name and address at random, I
suppose. The form must be filled out or one cannot give money, but the
content of what is put down (besides BC and Canada) seems immaterial.
The form that matters is the second one. In that you give the name,
address, and credit card number of the person *PAYING* for the donation.
There one enters one's actual name, address, and credit card number. That
form allows you to live anywhere in the world. I don't know why a donor
must live in BC and the person paying can live anywhere. Those are just the
parameters within which one must work.
Good luck!
Peach

Pam, If you happen to be over my way I will gladly perform the pantie
removal task. In fact, if you ask nicely I might even manage an
insertion (or two)

What kind of insertion do you excel at? Foot in mouth? Head up ass?

right. You can enter your city and state on the same line
and just leave the province drop-down window alone.
You can also phone them or snailmail in a donation. Info is
on their page.
As Peach mentioned, the form for credit card info allows you
to give the proper info for city and state, and it works fine.
Go Cakeheads!

Kent and I are going to go up and walk in the race. Just so's yanno
we'll be represented from sss. I think some others may be going, as well.
Joni, gonna scream if THIS doesn't post!!!
Kudos to you and Ken for joining in the race...
Please let us know how it all goes.
Good luck!

Joni, you are great...and so is Kent! I was worried that the four already
on the team might have to do the entire day between them. (12 hours on the
track divided by 4 left a minimum of 3 hours walking per person!)
Can we buy you dinner? I think there's a place to pre-purchase meals and
luminaries. I could go for doing that! You just raised my spirits
enormously! Thanks for telling us! I hope you have joined the team
officially? They have a goal for membership, too, and you and Kent joining
will help them reach *THAT* goal!
