As best as I can tell, the situation is that women into spanking
almost (note the weasel word "almost") universally prefer to be
recipients, whicle men split into the givers and receivers, often
having a foot in both camps. Usually women new to spanking consider
spanking men to be somewhat icky, although a number broaden their
preferences once they are firmly into the scene, although preference
still seems clearly towards receiving. Men may either be pure
spankers or switches (or pure submissives, but the last group seems
small.) I have no particular explanation for this phenomenon except
the obvious one of cultural preference for men to be aggressive and
women to be less so. It is worth noting that the CF magazine, "Men
Under Control" has a virtually all male subscription base.

Some figures, besides keeping a naughty or nice list for CF
customers, I mark those who are identifiably female in the database
and those who purchase femdom literature. Overall, about 10% of CF
customers are female (this number is, I am certain, far smaller than
the % in the population but that is a story for anothr day) while of
those CF customers who purchase femdom stories, women are about 3%.
Make of this what you will.

Ah yes, but as we all know statistics can prove anything!

Do you not think, though, that many women enjoy teasing the male, either by
their clothing, or the innuendo in what they say. That power trip to turn
on the male and deny access does occur, you know. Its not that much of a
leap from there, to dominating a man, in whatever way, but in the way of
things, some men want that to be so, and prophesies often get fulfilled.

I have always thought that human relationships are a continuum, and trying
to make people fit in convenient boxes is never going to work. I wake up
some mornings feeling horny cos I want to spank, and on others cos I've
imagined myself tied uup at the mercy of a lady. I'm sure the females do
sometimes fell other than what they would normally identify with.
