I haven't been on this newsgroup for years! Ever since my Outlook
Express played up and I started using Outlook instead!

Now I finally found how to access soc.sexuality.general and I miss all
the people we used to agree and argue with!

Are there any old timers here that remember me, Sam Murai?

Hi Sam! Yep, I'm still here, and Tom and Sarah, and Elizabeth, and
Norton pops in (hey, where'd he go? It's been a week or so, hasn't it?)
We've collected several more new regulars, too.

Welcome back!

Hi Sam. Very few people ever leave SSG. It's like the Mafia.

Norton will be back soon, he had a major PC crash and hasn't had time to
rebuild.

I think that a lot of old-old-old-timers still read the newsgroup.
They just don't contribute much anymore. For some of us, life (and libido)
has quieted down as we've aged. :)

Reading this group is obviously detrimental to one's libido.
Neither my life nor my libido have quieted down as I've aged.
Fortunately.

Don't worry. Ever since I got to SSG my sex life has progressively
gotten better . My age seems to be the best thing I've got going for
me. Oh gosh. Did I say "getting better" *again*?

Hi Suzee,

So who are the moderators these days? It looks like I have to go
through them before my posts get through whereas in the past, I used to
be automatically approved.

And ages ago, someone was volunteering to work on a website for the SSG
group. Did that eventuate or has it fizzled out?

Elizabeth answered you about the moderators. As for your posts having to
be manually approved, have you forgotten about the `white list'? If
you've been away for a while, or switch addresses, you drop off it and
when you start again, have to be approved. But now you know who the mods
are, so you could drop them an email asking to be put on the list again.
Or post more. ;)

Wasn't that you? I distinctly remember everybody saying that Sam should
get cracking on it.

Or, if you're lucky and memorable as a preaproved poster, a mod might
just whitelist you without being asked ;)

Thanks Elizabeth,

I jumped the gun and asked all these questions before I found the
website with the FAQs and Charter. So, are the moderators waiting to
re-identify me or test for any troll-like relapses before permitting me
back on the whitelist?

Actually, I actually Photoshopped some background images for someone to
put up on that site long time ago, but (and I forgot the name of the
nominated webmaster - it wasn't me I swear!) it didn't go ahead...

Actually, I've preapproved you now - so you'll be up there and running
much faster than you think.

Hi Everyone!

It's such a warm fuzzy feeling to be welcomed back!

Now I'm actually accessing this with Google Groups so I don't know if
I'm replying to one person or a particular thread and I don't know (or
remember) if I'm "top posting" or "bottom posting", including comments
by whomever I'm replying to etc. until I get used to this format.

It's nice to be back. For the most part, I've been nice to most people
although I did get bold and direct with one lady who was into masochism
or something like that and she got thoroughly pissed off with me when I
made fun of it.

So if the old-old-old timers don't post much anymore, what about the
old-timers and old-old timers? What the heck do you guys discuss about
sex that you don't know or haven't experienced already (1st or 2nd
hand) ?

Or are you just responding to posts by newbies seeking sexual
enlightenment?

You're top posting, but at least you're quoting. The first is
forgivable, the second not so much.

A lot of that gets discussions going you know.

Click on "Show Options" and use the reply link that will then show up
at the top of the post. This will allow you to follow standard quoting
guidelines without any worry that you'll annoy me by top-posting, and
really, isn't it all about me me me? :-)

Heya! I remember you from waaay back when I first lurking about SSG...

Welcome back!
