I've booked a secret psychiatrists appointment.

I was wondering whether medication of some kind would help my paraphilia?
Most certainly not Viagra, as Viagra would likely give me a heart attack
because that has no psychological effect, it just pumps blood around,
which I have no trouble with.

I have proved that I can get a very hard erection, but, like I said, as
a psychological thing, do you think that certain medication would help
make me see others as sexual objects and not just myself and dead bodies?

I know that my sexuality is a by-product of my personality disorder, all
sexuality is a by-product of someone's personality, hence promiscuous
people, enjoy sex, and people who have control problems rape, etc.

It just so happens that my problem makes me want what I want.

Do you think that if I aid my personality, my sexuality falls in place
like a domino?

Find out what the psychiatrist recommends and the follow her/his
directions, if that's what you decide to do.

You have a mistaken impression of paraphilias, and, I think, of
psychiatric therapy.

Paraphilias do not necessarily arise from a personality disorder. People
with paraphilias may be completely normal in other respects. If anything,
paraphilias are more likely to *cause* personality disorders than the other
way around, as hiding the paraphilia can lead to social avoidance and
paranoia. Sexuality is not a by-product of personality, it's usually
the reverse that is true. Which makes sense, as sexuality comes from our
often out-of-control hormones.

There is no simple explanation for the root cause of paraphilias, but
one theory involves damaging the 'lovemap' we develop in early childhood.
The lovemap is literally a map of the objects and people around us and our
affective responses to them -- 'father' inspires 'safety', 'mother' inspires
'nurturing', and so on. As a child, those responses can be twisted around
so that (for example) 'dead body' inspires something like 'happiness' instead
of the normal responses of 'revulsion' and 'fear'. This twisted lovemap
can then grow into a paraphilia once puberty sets in.

No psychiatric or psychological treatment of paraphilia has ever been
completely successful. As one researcher told me, "We might take someone
sexually attracted to six-year olds, and after five years of treatment he'll
only be attracted to eight-year olds." Do not go to therapy looking for a
cure.

*However*, psychiatry and psychology is very useful for learning to live
with a paraphilia. Rather than Viagra, you're more likely to be prescribed
saltpeter to take the edge off your libido so you can focus on the non-sexual
affairs in your life. Other medications can erase social anxiety and
depression, so that the paraphilia is less of a burden and enable you to
enjoy a normal sex life. Hypnosis can find the childhood events that caused
the paraphilia, and help you deal with it. Therapy is useful for helping
you *act* normal, even if you will never actually be normal. (But then,
who wants to *be* normal, anyway? ;) )

Sounds to me like you're doing the right thing. Keep us informed on
how it goes.

Quote from medterms.com

"Paraphilia: One of several complex psychiatric disorders that are
manifested as deviant sexual behavior. For example, in men the most common
forms are pedophilia (sexual behavior or attraction toward children) and
exhibitionism (exposing one's body in public setting). Other paraphilias
include compulsive sexual behavior (nymphomania and priapism), sadism,
masochism, fetishism, bestiality, and necrophilia. Treatment may include
cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, behavior modification,
antidepressant medications, and medications that alter hormone production,
particularly of testosterone. However, the cause and treatment of
paraphilias are poorly understood, and treatment is rarely effective. In
addition, many professionals prefer not to pathologize sexual behavior that
involves only willing adults, even if the behavior might be deemed deviant
in mainstream society. In cases where the behavior is potentially criminal,
as in pedophilia, treatment is usually offered within the penal system."

If your behaviour is not criminal why not just enjoy it. I think the biggest
crime is society making someone feeling guilty and losing self esteem about
their behaviour.

See a psycholgist or psychiatrist and get them to get rid of the guilt.

Have you read any of Hyperscribe's other posts? I suggest you do. He
does describe the desire to commit crimes.

> See a psycholgist or psychiatrist and get them to get rid of the guilt.

He doesn't sound as though he feels any guilt. He has stated that he
only wishes to learn to feel sexual towards others so that he can
control them and start a cult. There's more to it than this current
post. I for one, will not "help" (offer sexual advice) him because he
seems determined to hurt others.

Will do.
I will also screw a dead body, but only when I am untouchable.

Not really, but..

Oh they won't cause anything more wrong in me, I want to embrace them.

That sounds dangerously Freudian. I hope you know that I am scared of
decay, I am attracted to a fresh dead body because it is the control
thing with me. This made me think of it as a by-product of my
personality, because of my NPD, I thought the control thing had infested
into my sexuality.

I won't, I just want something to make me be able to fake my attractions
as normal. See, I would *like* to have sex with a corpse, I would *like*
to have sex with a 10 year old, like to have sex with an anorexic, and
have sex with an autistic person, but that is because I am in control.

Of course I don't want to be normal, that way I wouldn't be able to for
my cult. I don't believe that this is because of a childhood event, I
think it is because I am a control freak. I won't allow them to take the
edge off of my libido either, I just want them to direct it corretly.

Will do.

I just want them to wash me out a bit so I can pretend to enjoy it normally.

Necrophilia is a criminal offense.

I don't feel guilt, I just want to pretend to be normal while I wait
before I can expose myself.

Hi, you guys might be interested in my research on the links between
personality and sexuality..

I'm a psych honours student from Australia and i'm in the final stage
of collecting data for my thesis. Please consider going to this link
https://apollo.anu.edu.au/default.asp?pid=2258
and spending 30-40 minutes on "The Personality and Sexuality Survey" -
it's very thought provoking and NOT at all dull (some questions may
appear to be similar - please answer all questions). It will challenge
you to think about your personality and why you (as a guy or a girl)
express your sexuality (in whatever form).

The information will be written up as a genuine fourth year honours
psychology thesis and possibly a published article. The responses are
completely anonymous. People are free to withdraw from the survey at
any stage and data will not be stored until the 'submit' button is
clicked at the end of the survey. Participants must be over the age of
18. And I have gained Human Ethics approval.
