buried in the old part of the Provo cemetery. I have much
information but am looking for Arrowsmiths wherever they
might be. Recently visited the ancestral home of Preston,
Lancashire, England and have pictures, histories, maps, etc

around Philadelphia until about 1768, at which time 3 Beck
brothers came as far wast as York, PA where they remained
for 6 months. There they separated, two brothers to
Baltimore and the other to Warriors Mark Valley of central
PA. This brother, Daniel Beck, has 12 children. The book

Chandler - The Chandler Family, George Chandler, Press
of Charles Hamilton, Worcester, MA 1883. It is a large
compiled genealogy of the descendants of William and Annis
Chandler who settled in Roxbury, MA in 1637. Female
branches are followed for only one generation unless there
are cross-links. It has an indes, and I will be glad to
search and extract or report on who's in it (there are
thousands). It won't stand carting around to xerox
machines, though, so only specific requests are feasible.

Chandler - a set of diaries written by Ella J. Chandler
of Princeton, MA in 1870-1874. Numerous mentions of social
contacts with residents of Princeton, Sterling, Worcester,
Fitchburg, and even some in Charlestown, Acton, and
Somerville. I have made an index, and I can search for
names or scan specific times. World events are not
discussed -- the most remote event mentioned is the Great
Fire in Boston in 1872. JC

Well indexed. Gives an early discussion of the possible
family line in France before starting in 1672 with the birth
of a son in the second generation. PSC

to PA in 1733 and had six known children. Johannes died on
9 Jun 1761 in Richmond Township, Berks Co., PA. This book

I have lots of Books about Genealogy, history, content
of "Archives Nationales de Paris", a lot of books about
different regions, names origin, dictionaries (names of
towns, names in France, latin old French, old jobs, nobles,
etc. I am the owner of "bibliotheque genealogigue
(genealogical library) of my firm, so I have access to many

Nos Ancetres de l'Antiquite', Christian Settipani;
Editions Christians, Paris, 1991. French language work
drawing tentative connections between many extremely ancient
royal dynasties and the Medieval French Nobility through
Constantia, wife of Robert II, King of France. Many charts
and an EXTREMELY comprehensive bibliography. This is very
solid research. Lines are traced back as far as KRamses I
of Egypt (c. 1300 BC) and include the ruling families of
Egypt, Syria, Persia, Byzantium, Greece, Macedonia, etc.

Larry O. Jensen. Mostly useful for its description of
German handwriting and on how to use Meyers "Orts und

indexed all passenger lists with mostly german immigrants.
I think they're up to 1868 now and began with 1850. Not

all works from numerous artists and craftsmen from the
German Mosel Valley (and mountains nearby) in the region of
Zell; an impressive number of artisans from all periods of
history (until 1938) are indexed; the text cites some non-
artisans (non-indexed); exhaustive descriptions of old
houses (with photographs); numerous references; a beautiful
book, difficult to find. JPR

M"ullers Grosses Deutsches Ortsbuch, 1927, 1938,
1949, 1974, 1977, 1986/7, 1991/2. Not mine but easily
available at our library. The first three are in german
letters (no problem for me, but perhaps for others). The
last four are in latin letters but only cover the FRG. They
also have pointers to the Deutscher General-Atlas. AK

Oldenburgische Familienkunde, periodical of the
Oldenburg Genealogical Society. I have the indexes at home
and could look up specific names. AK

Oldenburger St"adtenamen, Friedrich Schohusen.
Explains the meaning of streetnames in Oldenburg. Sometimes
gives bibliographical hists, also for genealogical books
about the people for whom the streets were named. AK

Ortsnamenverzeichnis der Ortschaften jenseits von
Oder und Neisse. Town name list of the places beyond the
Oder and Neisse. It doesn't provide much information, just
province and keris, and includes the provinces of
Ostpreussen, Pommern, Westpreussen, Schlesien, Danzig, and
th eastern part of Brandenburg. but if you would like me to
look, send me a private e-mail messange and I will answer as
time permits. It seems reasonably complete by comparison to
some of the things I have seen at the LDS such as Muller and
Meyers. JK

Trudy Schenk and Ruth Forelke, Ancestry Inc., Salt Lake
City, 1987, 1988. Lists full name of immigrant, birthdate
and place if known, emigration registry place and date,

Society of Aurich. "Several years worth" "My German is
none too good, but this also contains Plattdeutsche, which
completely defeats me. It is indexed, so I may be willing
to find whatever is wanted and let the buyer beware." JK

since I speak it myself and try to get specific issues in
Aurich. Since I'm not there too often, this could take some

the index and copy a few pages, but if you want to read the
