The CD phone is a set of 5 (I think) CD phone disks which list all the
phone numbers and addresses in the US. Actually of course it doesn't
have them all as some people have unlisted phone numbers and some people
have recently moved. Also sometimes it has addresses that are several
years old. I have been told that the set of disks costs $149. But
people say it is very good as you can search for a specific name or
all the people with a certain last name. I think you can search by
state as well. If you can afford to buy the disks it is very nice to
have your own. You can take them to the library or a friend's house
who has a CD rom machine if you don't have one yourself. Otherwise,
sometimes people will help you when they have time. They are more
likely to help if you have a specific name like Charles Heffel than
if you ask for all of a certain last name. So far noone has
volunteered to help me with my request, but they have helped with
specific names in the past.
