How, now, Nga Thein Sein?

OK. Only Thein Sein (TS) is not to blame. Lieutenant General Ko Ko
(KK), Minister for Home Affairs, under whom Police Force is placed, is
a non-repentent, intransigent hardliner. "Senior" General Min Aug
Hlaing (MAH), Commander-in-Chief the BBBFMTR Armed Forces, is another
anti-Reform, anti-democracy, anti-human rights instransigent
hardliner. He was taught (and reminded) by former Vice President Tin
Aung Myint Oo (TAMO) that he (MAH) has the right to stage a coup
d'é·tat, according to the Nargis Constitution.

Ko Ko (KK) dared to take actions contrary to Thein Sein's order
because he has some people behind him, such as Aung Thaung (AT), Tin
Aung Myint Oo (TAMO), Min Aung Hlaing (MAH), Zaw Min (ZM), Kyaw Hsan
(KH), Tint Hsan (TH), and Ye Htut (YH),

Police crackdown in Latpadaung … again

Thursday, 25 April 2013 17:59 Mizzima News

A report by Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) says that at least one
person was shot and five arrested on Thursday when police intervened
to stop local villagers and farmers who were ploughing confiscated
land in Sete, near the controversial Latpadaung copper mine in Sagaing
Region.

Some 100 locals had defied authorities to work on the seized land of a
Sete resident for three days. However, a quarrel broke out between
police and villagers and tempers quickly flared. The villagers then
“began hurling rocks at the police, shattering their riot shields, and
they retaliated by firing into the crowd with their guns,” the report
said.

A DVB reporter on the ground said that the weapons were most likely
loaded with non-lethal ammunition.
