I am saddened by the Chinese Government sentencing Liu Xiaobo, a well-known
Chinese writer, to an 11-year jail term. By sentencing Liu Xiaobo and others
like him, who use freedom of expression to publicly articulate their opinions,
the Chinese authorities have not only violated the binding principles of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights but also the freedom of expression
mentioned in the Constitution of the People's Republic of China. I urge the
Chinese Government to release, as soon as possible, Liu Xiaobo and other
political prisoners who were jailed for exercising their freedom of
expression. I offer my regards and prayers to Mr. Liu Xiaobo, his wife and
other family members.

Fascism
Fascism, pronounced /?f??z?m/, is a political ideology that seeks to combine radical and
authoritarian nationalism with a corporatist economic system, and which is usually considered to be
on the far right of the traditional left-right political spectrum.
Fascists advocate the creation of a single-party state, with the belief that the majority is
unsuited to govern itself through democracy and by reaffirming the benefits of inequality. Fascist
governments forbid and suppress openness and opposition to the fascist state and the fascist
movement.

I agree that the penalty is ridiculously heavy or it is not necessary
at all. But i do think
that under certain circumstances and at certain times the majority is
unable to govern
itself.
We have a bunch of liberal arts students here from the US. While they
are unable to tell
the difference between a supply and demand curve, they are trying to
tell the world what to do!
They teach 'oral' English in China.
Ha ha ha. American students are going to Communist China to learn
economics? Those must be some dumb students, indeed! Your statement
also applies to CCP communists: for many years they did not understand
supply and demand, relying instead on central planning. Now those slow
learners want to tell the harmonious world what to do. What a crazy,
crazy world!
Equally true...

Well said!
Fascism does not distinct from communism, you could say that Fascism is
extreme right wing and Communism is extreme left wing, but because both are so
extreme they meet each other completely in inhumanity, lack of compassion,
hostility towards anyone/any-group who has a will on its own, lack of self-
reflection and so on...

Hey Psycho Xangdi (now Dabian eater), just because abianchen exposed
your racist act when you pretended as a black guy using ID "Leroy B
Jones" to harass black people in November 2007 so you wanted revenge
against abianchen for the rest of your life? Get over it! Anyway,
don't you think that's hilarious when you got exposed, one netter said
you got caught pants down! Because of that, you abandoned your
infamous ID "Chairman Mao Says". That's also hilarious. Hehe!
Anyway, ROTFL...
Psycho Xangdi (Dabian eater), you called Meichi “Thai whore”, now you

Who is LTLee anyway? The paragon of truth in SCC to whom you pay
homage and reverence? Are his words to be taken as the paramount of
truth by every poster in SCC and related groups? Have you so
conveniently forgotten that your own "Bill Moore" had for several

First a happy new year to you!
Thank you for your answer but if the Chinese government is so afraid of that,
why don't they start with making peace???
Instead of continuing their harassment of minority identity, culture, religion
and Human Rights. I they can't China will surely blast because it is based on
the lies of Han supremacy and communist idealism/nationalism and other false
sentiments.
Peter
The poll was reported in Chinese by Taiwan's newspapers. But if you
check Taipei Times, an English newspaper in Taiwan, you may be able to
find this poll.
Vast majority of Taiwanese prefer status quo, i.e., no unification, no
Taiwan Independence, which is nothing new, it has been like this for
years. Even ROC (Taiwan) President, Ma Ying-jeou said he does not
expect Chinese unification in his lifetime.

(1) Wheras fascism advocates a one party state but a governmen that
used one-party state is not necessarily fascist.
(2) One party state does not necessarily mean the suppression of
speech
freedom. HK used to be a one-party/non-democratic state but there was
a lot
of freedom of the press.
(3) political dissidents are not necessarily tolerated in one-party
states only.
Without using the unsophisticated models, I would say it was a message
of
saddness. People like yourself like to analyze events within the
framework of models.
