Android threats, to the point where the Android malware
environment is beginning to look a lot like that of Windows' a
few years ago.

IOS, the Apple phone and tablet OS, is Android's chief competitor. IOS
seems to be more resistant to malware than Android, and has another
advantage -- IOS apps all pass through the Apple store (where Apple
takes a 30% cut), but whether sold or free, Apple checks the code for
malware. Something might still slip through, but it's much less
likely.
